Terms of use

These terms govern the use of Sip&Score between you and us. You accept them when you sign up. Please also read the Privacy policy, which explains what we do with your data. The Croatian version is binding.

1. Who provides the service and what it is

The service is provided by [NAZIV], [ADRESA], OIB [OIB] (details on the Legal information page).

Sip&Score is a web app for creating and running live quizzes. The organizer creates a quiz, starts a session and shows the questions on a TV or projector. Players join with a code from their phones, without an account, and send answers. The app scores the answers and keeps the standings.

2. Who may have an account

• You may open an account if you are at least 16 years old. [PRAVNIK: age and legal capacity to contract]
• If you open an account or a venue for a company, association or venue, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
• Players do not need an account.

3. Account and security

• When signing up you enter a name, email and password. The details must be accurate.
• One account belongs to one person. Do not share your password.
• If you suspect someone uses your account, change your password and contact us at hello@sipnscore.eu.
• You are responsible for actions taken with your account unless you could not have prevented them.

4. Venues

• A venue (a café, bar, association or other place where the quiz is played) has one owner: the account that opened it.
• Deleting a venue: the owner can delete the venue in the app, confirming by typing the venue name. Deleting removes the venue's sessions with results and players' data, the venue's teams, memberships and the venue logo. Quizzes by other authors that were linked to the venue stay theirs and are no longer linked to it.
• Transferring ownership: transfer to another venue member is not available in the app yet. When it is, the former owner stays a venue member with the staff role.

5. Your content

• Rights: you guarantee that you have the right to use everything you enter: questions, images, audio, videos and YouTube links. For other people's copyrighted works you need the author's permission or a legal basis.
• Licence to us: while the content is in the app, you give us a non-exclusive, free right to store, process and display it to provide the service (on your screens, players' screens and the TV). We do not use it for advertising and do not sell it.
• Public quizzes: you can make a published quiz public in the community. Other users then see it with your name, can rate it and make their own copy, which they play and edit further. For a public quiz you give other users a non-exclusive, free right to copy it within Sip&Score and use it through their copy. You can make the quiz private again at any time; existing copies stay.
• When you delete your account: your quizzes are deleted. Sessions that other organizers played with your quiz stay theirs, with the questions as they were at the time of play. Copies that other users made of your public quizzes stay theirs, images included, as long as the copy exists.

6. AI content

• The app can suggest questions with the help of artificial intelligence (the Claude model by Anthropic) and read answers from a photo of a paper sheet.
• AI can make mistakes. We do not guarantee that suggested questions and read answers are accurate, complete or original. Check the questions before the game and the read answers before announcing results.
• The number of AI questions per month depends on your plan.

7. Conduct and moderation

• What is not allowed and how to report content is in the Content rules.
• If content or conduct breaks the law or these rules, we can remove a public quiz from the community or, for serious or repeated breaches, block an account until further notice.
• You receive the reasons for every decision by email and can appeal as described in the Content rules.
• We do not monitor content in advance. A person makes the decisions, not an automated system.

8. Fair-play checks

During a question the app records when a player leaves the app or switches browser tabs, and when they send an answer more than once. Only the organizer sees the records. The app does not penalise anyone by itself; the organizer decides on consequences (for example excluding a team).

9. Plans

The scope of the service (quizzes per week, AI questions per month, number of teams and similar) depends on the plan. The app does not take payments today. Payment terms will be added before payments start.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the service running without interruptions but do not guarantee it. We can change the service and add or remove features. We announce larger changes that affect your work in advance. Check that everything works before an important quiz.

11. Liability

• We are liable for damage under Croatian law. We are not liable for lost profit or indirect damage unless caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or your rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.

12. Termination

• You can delete your account whenever you want, in the account settings.
• We can end the service or suspend an account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, with reasons by email. In other cases we give at least 30 days' notice. [PRAVNIK]

13. Changes to the terms

We announce material changes by email at least 30 days in advance [PRAVNIK: period]. After the changes take effect, we ask you to accept them at your next sign-in. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account. We keep earlier versions and provide them on request.

14. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. Disputes go to the court with subject-matter jurisdiction in Zagreb. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live and can sue before the court of your domicile. 16. Data processing agreement

When you run a quiz, we process players' data on your behalf. That is governed by the Data processing agreement, which is part of these terms.
